4.4 Magnitude earthquake hits Mugu in Karnali province, following 4.8 quake in Sindhupalchowk

An earthquake occurred in Mugu in Karnali Province this morning. According to the National Earthquake Measuring and Research Centre, an earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale was recorded in Mugu district at 8:03 this morning.

Earlier on Thursday, an earthquake of 4.8 on the Richter scale was recorded in Sindhupalchowk of Bagmati Province. Kathmandu Valley experienced a jolt of earthquake yesterday afternoon.

The earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter Scale was recorded in Sindhupalchowk district at 1:02 pm.

According to the National Earthquake Measuring and Research Centre, the epicentre of the earthquake was located at Majhitar in the district.
