77th Army Day: CDS Gen Anil Chauhan commends Indian Army’s professionalism and role in nation building

Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan on Wednesday extended his heartfelt greetings to all ranks of the Indian Army on the 77th Army Day, lauding their outstanding professionalism, unwavering dedication, and significant contributions to nation-building, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Defence.

In his message, General Chauhan praised the Indian Army for being the “bedrock of India’s security and unity,” emphasizing their ability to adapt to evolving challenges while maintaining the nation’s sovereignty. He commended the Army’s relentless efforts in ensuring operational readiness and protecting the country’s citizens under all circumstances.

Highlighting the shifting dynamics of modern warfare, General Chauhan underscored the role of new-age technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Data-Centric Architecture, and Autonomous Vehicles in shaping future conflicts.

He called for the Army to continually upgrade its technological capabilities, tactics, and procedures to stay ahead of adversaries, stressing that no future war will resemble past battles.

The CDS also paid tribute to the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. He urged every soldier to uphold the Army’s glorious traditions while embracing future challenges with pride and determination.

“May the Army continue to bring success and glory to our motherland and contribute indefatigably towards nation-building,” he said.
