Actress and model Kiara Advani is making her debut at the Cannes Film Festival this year. The ‘Shershah’ star will represent India at the Red Sea Film Foundation’s Women in Cinema Gala dinner, highlighting India’s increasing impact on the global film industry. This prestigious event will be hosted by Vanity Fair.
The event brings together several women from around the world and recognises their contributions in the field of entertainment.
Along with Kiara, actors Adhwa Fahad, Salma Abu Deif, Sarocha Chankimha, and Aseel Omran, as well as director and screenwriter Ramata Toulaye-Sy, will also be present at the Women in Cinema Gala dinner.
Cannes regular Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is also likely to attend the film festival. Actress Aditi Rao Hydari will also mark her presence at the gala as one of the brand ambassadors of L’Oreal Paris.
The Cannes Film Festival opens on Tuesday night with the world premiere of Quentin Dupieux’s ‘Le Deuxieme Acte (The Second Act),’ starring Lea Seydoux, Vincent Lindon, Louis Garrel and Raphael Quenard.
The 77th Cannes Film Festival, scheduled from May 14 to 25, will also feature a ‘Bharat Parv’ event hosted by India.
