The Adani Defence and Aerospace stall has emerged as a key attraction at Aero India 2025, Asia’s largest air show, currently underway in Bengaluru. The exhibit highlights cutting-edge defence technologies, with a strong focus on artificial intelligence and advanced weaponry.
A major highlight is the Vehicle-Mounted Counter-Drone System, developed in collaboration with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The system is designed to detect and neutralize aerial threats, offering both soft-kill jammers and hard-kill laser options.
Ashish Raghuvanshi, CEO of Adani Defence and Aerospace, emphasized the importance of electronic warfare, saying that drones pose a significant challenge to military and civilian security. He underscored the company’s commitment to developing next-generation defence systems in partnership with DRDO.
Ashok Wadhwan, Head of Land Systems, outlined a four-layered defence strategy showcased at the stall, covering protection, detection, neutralization, and AI-driven solutions. He highlighted Adani’s focus on supporting the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, while also exploring export opportunities.
“We aim to work alongside Defence Public Sector Units (DPSUs) rather than compete with them. Strengthening public-private partnerships will drive innovation and enhance national security,” Wadhwan said.
With an increasing emphasis on localized production, Adani Defence has been working as a Development cum Production Partner (DcPP) with DRDO, ensuring advanced technologies are integrated into India’s defence capabilities.
