The All India Institute of Ayurveda-Incubation Centre for Ayurveda Innovation and Entrepreneurship (iCAINE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University to strengthen research, innovation and entrepreneurship in the Ayurveda sector.
The agreement, signed on April 27 at the university campus in Jodhpur, aims to promote technological advancement and build a robust innovation ecosystem in Ayurveda education. The MoU was signed by AIIA Director Prof. (Vaidya) Pradeep Kumar Prajapati and DSRRAU Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Vaidya) Govind Sahay Shukla in the presence of faculty members, researchers and students.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Prajapati described the partnership as a major step towards taking Ayurveda to global platforms by translating traditional knowledge into evidence-based and market-ready innovations. He emphasised the role of AIIA–iCAINE in fostering a vibrant ecosystem for Ayurveda-led entrepreneurship across academic institutions.
Prof. Shukla said the collaboration would create new opportunities for students, scholars and faculty by enabling innovation-driven learning and entrepreneurial development, in line with the university’s vision of blending tradition with modern scientific approaches.
Under the three-year agreement, participants from the university will receive mentorship, training and advisory support through structured pre-incubation and incubation programmes. The initiative will include innovation workshops, idea-pitching camps, capacity-building sessions and interactions with industry stakeholders.
The partnership will also facilitate joint ideation camps, innovation challenges and collaborative programmes aimed at nurturing Ayurveda-based startups and ventures rooted in traditional knowledge systems.
Officials said the collaboration aligns with the broader objectives of the Ayush Ministry to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and sectoral growth, while creating a supportive ecosystem for the next generation of Ayurveda practitioners and innovators.
