Annual Investment Meeting Congress Wraps Up in Abu Dhabi

The Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) Congress concluded today in Abu Dhabi, marking the culmination of a dynamic three-day event that convened industry titans, policymakers, and forward-thinking innovators from across the globe. Running from May 6th to 9th, the congress served as a platform for focused discussions on investment strategies, regional economic forecasts, and burgeoning investment prospects, all aimed at fostering collaboration and brainstorming innovative solutions to pressing global challenges.

The event showcased a diverse array of companies, spanning from trailblazers in futuristic transportation to cutting-edge medical technology startups.

Thirty-five Indian startups participated in AIM 2024, with delegations from organizations such as CII, Invest India, DPIIT, Kerala Startup Mission, and Andhra Pradesh Medtech Zone. Dilip Kumar Chekuri, CEO of Medivalley, led a contingent from Andhra Pradesh Medtech Zone, presenting ten startups in the medical technology sector. These presentations attracted investors from around the world. Andhra Pradesh Medtech Zone, established in 2015 with joint funding from Atal Innovation Mission and the Government of Andhra Pradesh, has played a crucial role in fostering innovation in the medical technology field. In addition to Medivalley’s showcase, several other Indian startups seized the opportunity to vie for pre-seed and venture capital funding through dedicated pitching sessions at AIM 2024. There were also panel discussions where India’s sustainability reporting and assurance standards were highlighted.

The AIM Congress, spearheaded by the AIM Global Foundation, aims to shape investment strategies and policies, bolster investment and economic opportunities, fortify international economic relations, and pioneer innovative solutions to tackle current and future global challenges and developments, ultimately striving towards a prosperous and sustainable global economy. This year’s AIM Congress featured a lineup of 900+ speakers and drew more than 12,000 participants representing 175 countries. Complementing the main event, AIM Congress also orchestrated 27 collaborative events in partnership with over 330+ local, international, and global stakeholders, underscoring its commitment to driving impactful change on a global scale.
