In a cheerful video message, Eric Garcetti expressed his best wishes for a joyful Holi celebration. He mentioned the delightful twist of American flavors in traditional Holi sweets like gujiyas, infused with pistachios and rose water, emphasizing the joy of celebrating Holi together across the Indo-Pacific region.
Earlier this month, Ambassador Garcetti inaugurated the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) Taste of America Booth at Bharat Mandapam, further strengthening cultural ties between nations.
Prime Minister Albanese described Holi as a “joyful celebration of color, love, and new life,” highlighting its message of renewal and the triumph of good over evil, which serves as an inspiration for Australians.
Adding to the festive cheer, Apple CEO Tim Cook extended his warm Holi wishes, sharing greetings on social media alongside a vibrant picture capturing the essence of the colorful festival.
The US Embassy in India also joined in extending greetings to all Indians, highlighting the festival’s universal appeal and spirit of unity.
