The Ministry of Ayush’s nationwide campaign, Desh Ka Prakriti Parikshan Abhiyaan, has secured five Guinness World Records, marking a milestone in holistic healthcare and promoting global awareness of Ayurveda.
The campaign set a record for the most pledges received for a health campaign in a week, with 6,004,912 pledges—far surpassing the minimum requirement of 14,571. It also broke the record for the most pledges received in a month, collecting 13,892,976 pledges and surpassing the previous record of 58,284 held by Cigna and CMB Life Insurance Company in China.
With this monthly total, Desh Ka Prakriti Parikshan Abhiyaan also set a record for the most pledges received for a health campaign overall, surpassing the previous record of 569,057 pledges held by Zifi FDC.
The campaign further established two records in digital participation. It created the largest online photo album of people displaying a digital certificate, with 62,525 photos—more than double the previous record of 29,068 photos held by Accenture Solutions. Additionally, it set the record for the largest online video album of people reciting the same sentence, collecting 12,798 videos and surpassing the previous record of 8,992 videos held by Ghe Bharari, Rahul Kulkarni, and Neelam Edlabadkar.
Guinness World Records adjudicator Richard Williams Stenning officially announced the achievements and presented certificates to Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ayush, Prataprao Jadhav, during an event in Mumbai.
Jadhav praised the Ministry’s dedication to advancing Ayush healthcare systems, while Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush, noted that the Ministry has set six world records within two months.
The Desh Ka Prakriti Parikshan Abhiyaan was launched on October 29, marking the 9th Ayurveda Day. The campaign’s first phase received an overwhelming response, conducting prakriti parikshan (nature assessments) for over 1.29 crore individuals—exceeding the initial target of 1 crore. This phase involved 1,81,667 volunteers, including 1,33,758 Ayurveda students, 16,155 teachers, and 31,754 physicians, setting a world record for participation.
