In the article, Tobgay highlights what he describes as values of wisdom, compassion, courage and selfless service in Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.

According to the article, the vision of Viksit Bharat represents an expression of these values by providing India with a shared national vision and encouraging people to contribute towards building it.

Tobgay also underlined the role of a stronger India in supporting its neighbouring countries and contributing to the wider Global South.

Sharing the article on X, the Prime Minister’s Office said:

“PM @narendramodi’s leadership reflects wisdom, compassion, courage and selfless service, writes Bhutan PM @tsheringtobgay. He sees Viksit Bharat as the clearest expression of these values, giving India a shared vision and inspiring people to help build it.”

The PMO further said:

“A stronger India, he says, can also do more for its neighbours and the Global South. A thoughtful reflection on leadership and service.”

It also underlines the broader regional and international role that India can play as its economy and capabilities grow, particularly in supporting its neighbours and countries of the Global South.
