Celebrating Youth Engagement: 34th National Youth Parliament Competition awards on Friday

The Prize Distribution Function of the 34th National Youth Parliament Competition 2023–24 for Kendriya Vidyalayas is scheduled for Friday at the Parliament House Complex, New Delhi.

Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, will preside over the ceremony and present prizes to students and schools in recognition of their exceptional performances in the competition.

A special repeat performance of the Youth Parliament Sitting by the overall national winner, PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, IIT Kharagpur (Kolkata Region), will be a highlight of the event.

In addition, awards will be conferred upon top-performing schools at the zonal and regional levels, honouring their efforts in promoting democratic values, leadership qualities and oratory skills.

The competition aims to familiarise students with parliamentary procedures while instilling self-discipline and respect for diverse viewpoints.

This event underscores the importance of involving young people in democratic processes as a vital part of their holistic development.
