Our Digital Footprint today encompasses 250+ active Social Media handles, 50+ active YouTube channels, several live-streams and two very popular Mobile Apps of DD News and AIR News which together have several Million+ downloads. Your support has ensured that DD Free Dish is present in close to 30 million households and the Independence Day live coverage by Doordarshan marked the highest TV viewership day during the year 2018.
I am delighted to congratulate all of you for several measures that we have undertaken to further the cause of public service broadcasting including the new TV Reality Show, MahilaKisan Awards, that celebrates the Women Farmer through our DD Kisan Channel. I would also congratulate DD News, which is the nation's most credible and authentic source of news, for its transmission in Hi-Definition (HD) and for having a new look and content line-up.
