Corporate Infotech Pvt. Ltd. (CIPL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Bihar for a major investment in the State’s Information Technology sector. The MoU was signed during the India AI Summit, in the presence of senior leadership from the Bihar Government.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Samrat Chaudhary, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar; Shreyashi Singh, Hon’ble Minister for Information Technology, Government of Bihar; Pratyay Amrit, Chief Secretary, Government of Bihar; Abhay Kumar Singh, Secretary, IT; and Kundan Kumar, Secretary, Industries, along with other senior officials.
Under the MoU, CIPL will establish a Core Development Centre along with an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Patna, aimed at strengthening Bihar’s digital governance ecosystem and positioning the State as an emerging IT and Artificial Intelligence hub in Eastern India.
As per the detailed investment proposal submitted to the Government of Bihar, CIPL plans an initial investment of ₹30 crore, which will be scaled up to ₹100 crore in the coming years. The proposed centre will function as a technology delivery, innovation, and talent development hub, supporting advanced digital technologies such as SAP, Artificial Intelligence, cloud computing, data centre operations, cybersecurity, and enterprise platforms.
The project is expected to generate more than 500 direct employment opportunities in the first year, with a planned expansion to over 2,000 IT professionals within five years, contributing significantly to high-value job creation and encouraging reverse migration of skilled professionals to Bihar.
The centre will also support the development and deployment of CIPL’s proprietary technology platforms, including AI-driven governance solutions, intelligent analytics systems, automated queue management solutions, and IT process automation tools, thereby further strengthening Bihar’s digital infrastructure and service delivery capabilities.
Established in 2007, CIPL has built a strong reputation as a trusted technology partner to Government departments and PSUs across India, with deep expertise in large-scale, mission-critical digital transformation programmes. The company has played a key role in several flagship initiatives in Bihar, including financial management systems, power sector SAP implementations, data centre operations, and citizen service delivery platforms, contributing to improved efficiency, transparency, and service outcomes.
Speaking on the occasion, Vinod Kumar, Managing Director, Corporate Infotech Pvt. Ltd., said:
