CM Sharma visits Rajasthan Sampark Helpline at Secretariat, hears public grievances

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Thursday visited the Rajasthan Sampark Helpline 181 at the Government Secretariat and reviewed the functioning of the public grievance redressal system.

During the visit, the Chief Minister personally interacted with citizens over phone calls, heard their grievances and directed officials to ensure prompt resolution of complaints.

In one interaction, Sharma spoke to a complainant named Prince from Khairabad in Kota district regarding an electricity supply issue. Introducing himself, the Chief Minister asked the caller to explain the problem and subsequently instructed officials to take immediate action.

In another case, Puniram from Ramgarh Pachwara in Dausa district raised a grievance related to a land lease matter. Recalling his earlier visit to the village, Sharma informed the complainant that instructions regarding the case had already been issued.

Hemraj from Arai in Ajmer district reported a water supply issue in his area. The Chief Minister sought details of the complaint and directed the concerned department to initiate corrective measures without delay.

Sharma said the Rajasthan Sampark Helpline had emerged as an effective mechanism for addressing public grievances. To further strengthen the system, the state government has directed senior officials of various departments to regularly visit the helpline centre, he added.

According to the Chief Minister, the initiative is helping ensure faster disposal of complaints and providing relief to citizens.

During the inspection, Sharma reviewed the helpline’s operational procedures, complaint registration process and monitoring systems. He instructed officials to periodically obtain feedback from staff, encourage efficient performers and strengthen monitoring of grievance redressal mechanisms.
