Cold day to severe cold day conditions expected to continue in parts of Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh

Additionally, isolated pockets in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Jharkhand are expected to face dense fog during early morning and morning hours.

Cold Day to Severe Cold Day conditions are anticipated in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and isolated pockets in West Rajasthan on various dates in the first week of January 2024.

Furthermore, a fresh easterly wave and a Low Pressure Area will bring light to moderate rainfall in south Tamil Nadu, south Kerala, and Lakshadweep over the next 3-4 days. Isolated heavy rainfall is expected in Lakshadweep on January 2nd-4th and in Kerala on January 4th.

Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh may experience light isolated rainfall from January 2nd to 5th, while Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha may witness similar conditions from January 3rd to 5th.

East India is expected to see no significant change in minimum temperatures in the next 24 hours, followed by a rise of 2-3°C. The rest of north India is likely to experience stable minimum temperatures over the next 5 days.
