Vote counting set to begin in Jammu & Kashmir and Haryana

Preparations for the counting of votes in the Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana assembly elections have been finalized. The process will begin at 8 AM on Tuesday, with results expected by noon.

In Jammu and Kashmir, 873 candidates are contesting across 90 assembly seats, while in Haryana, 1,031 candidates are vying for 90 seats.

Where to Check Results

The Election Commission will start by counting postal ballots. The Commission has made extensive arrangements to ensure a smooth counting process. Results and trends will be available on their official website, www.eci.gov.in.

Counting Centers in Jammu & Kashmir

Jammu and Kashmir witnessed a strong voter turnout during the recently concluded elections, held in three phases. A total of 20 counting centers have been set up under tight security. Chief Electoral Officer Pandurang K. Pole said that all necessary measures for a secure and efficient counting process are in place.

Counting Centers in Haryana

In Haryana, 90 counting centers have been set up, one for each assembly constituency. Chief Electoral Officer Pankaj Aggarwal said that these centers are located in the district headquarters of all 22 districts.
