Infrastructure and basic services, livelihoods and skills, and environment and sustainability are three priority areas in this region.”

The Minister stressed that focused CSR efforts in these areas could position the Northeast as a model of inclusive and sustainable growth.

Lalnghinglova Hmar, Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Government of Mizoram, noted that CSR funding can transform communities and create measurable stories of change. He highlighted sports development as a major opportunity, capable of nurturing talent and generating livelihoods. Hmar also announced that the Mizoram government is finalising the launch of Mizoram CSR Connect, an AI-based interactive tool to link companies with verified projects and partners.

Hekani Jakhalu, Advisor, Industry & Commerce, Government of Nagaland, pointed out that CSR investments in skill development, entrepreneurship, and livelihood creation could unlock the region’s vast potential.
