The Delhi Assembly’s Budget session is set to commence from March 24 and will continue till March 28, with the state budget scheduled to be presented on March 25.
According to a statement from the Legislative Assembly Secretariat of the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi, the session will open on March 24 at 11:00 a.m. in the Assembly Hall, Old Secretariat. The schedule outlines government business on the first day, followed by the Budget presentation on March 25.
A general discussion on the Budget is planned for March 26, with its consideration and passage scheduled for March 27. The session will conclude on March 28 with discussions on private members’ bills and resolutions. The Secretariat noted that the session may be extended if required.
Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Parliament on Monday. The meeting comes as part of the Delhi government’s efforts to gather public input for the upcoming budget.
On Sunday, CM Gupta visited residents in the RK Puram constituency’s slum areas to hear their concerns and ideas for the state’s financial planning. Earlier on March 6, she also held an interactive session with traders, businessmen, and business organizations to discuss their suggestions for the Delhi Budget 2025.
