Di Giannantonio clocks in fastest at MotoGP’s Jerez testing

Pertamina Enduro VR46’s Fabio Di Giannantonio recorded the fastest time at the MotoGP’s official testing day in Jerez on (April 29), one day after the circuit hosted the Spanish Grand Prix.

With a fastest lap time of 1:46.405 minutes, the 25-year-old Italian clocked in just ahead of Aprilia Racing’s Maverick Viñales, who came in at 1:36.492, and Prima Pramac Racing’s Franco Morbidelli at 1:36.527.

Two-time reigning MotoGP champion Francesco Bagnaia of Ducati Lenovo, meanwhile, set the fourth fastest time with a lap of 1:36.589 minutes.

Bagnaia narrowed the gap on Pramac Racing’s Jorge Martin to 17 points in the rider’s championship standings on Sunday (April 28) with his third-straight Spanish Grand Prix after the 26-year-old Spaniard crashed out while leading the race.
