Drones hit Erbil and US facility in Baghdad

Two drones fell in central Erbil, Iraq, on Friday, one striking a house without causing casualties. The second drone landed in an open area, also without losses, as drone attacks on the city continue to intensify. Earlier, two drones struck a US diplomatic support facility at Baghdad International Airport on Thursday evening, marking the second such attack in two days. The facility serves as a logistical and administrative hub for American diplomats and personnel, housing offices, residential areas, storage zones and secured sections that support US embassy operations across Iraq.

Iraq has increasingly been drawn into the wider West Asia conflict, with its territory becoming a growing flashpoint for attacks targeting American interests in the region. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for either the Erbil or Baghdad incidents, and no casualties were reported in the airport attack.
