Dubai International Airport (DXB) recorded its busiest year ever in 2025, welcoming more than 95 million passengers and cementing its position as the world’s leading international aviation hub, Dubai Airports announced. The performance reflected steady, year-long growth rather than isolated traffic peaks, with the airport operating close to capacity while maintaining service standards. Dubai Airports said this consistency underscored the strength of coordination among airlines, service providers and government stakeholders within the oneDXB ecosystem.
India emerged as DXB’s largest country market, accounting for nearly 12 million passengers during the year, highlighting the depth of travel, trade and people-to-people links between India and the UAE. Mumbai and New Delhi ranked among the airport’s busiest city destinations, reinforcing India’s central role in DXB’s global network.
Dubai Airports noted that passenger traffic growth was supported by efficient operations, including strong aircraft load factors, stable processing times and high baggage handling performance. The airport also continued to expand its global reach, connecting hundreds of destinations across more than 100 countries through a wide network of international airlines.
Paul Griffiths, chief executive officer of Dubai Airports, said, “In 2025, DXB showed that record traffic is no longer an exception, but part of its operating reality,” adding that long-term performance depends on sustaining excellence at scale amid rising global demand.
By the end of 2025, DXB’s scale, connectivity and operational consistency had reinforced its standing as one of the world’s most globally connected airports, linking hundreds of destinations across every major region. Its ability to manage sustained high volumes while maintaining service quality has positioned Dubai International not only as a transit hub, but as a central gateway for global travel, trade and economic exchange.
