External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Friday held wide-ranging talks with Oman’s Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, during an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman, reviewing the full spectrum of the India-Oman Strategic Partnership and discussing key regional and global developments.
During the bilateral meeting, the two leaders reviewed progress in the multifaceted relationship between India and Oman and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, reaffirming their commitment to further strengthening the strategic partnership.
EAM Jaishankar also conveyed India’s appreciation to the Government of Oman for its prompt assistance to Indian seafarers during the recent regional developments, underscoring the close cooperation between the two countries in addressing challenges affecting Indian nationals overseas.
As part of his visit, the External Affairs Minister interacted with members of the Indian community in Oman and lauded their contribution to deepening the longstanding ties between the two nations.
He appreciated the Indian diaspora for serving as a strong bridge between India and Oman and for continuing to play an important role in strengthening the countries’ multifaceted relationship.
