Economic Survey shows India’s ‘Reform Express’ on track amid global uncertainty: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said the Economic Survey 2025-26 presents an encouraging picture of India’s economy, describing it as a fast-moving “Reform Express” that continues to make steady progress despite global challenges. The Survey was tabled in Parliament earlier in the day.

In a post on X, PM Modi said sustained reforms have strengthened India’s macroeconomic fundamentals and boosted confidence among investors, businesses and citizens. He noted that the Survey highlights steady growth momentum and the expanding role of innovation, entrepreneurship and infrastructure, while underscoring the importance of inclusive development with a focus on farmers, MSMEs, youth employment and social welfare.

The Prime Minister said the roadmap outlined in the Survey offers clear direction for strengthening manufacturing, improving productivity and accelerating India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation, reiterating the government’s commitment to reforms supporting industrial growth, skill development and technological advancement.
