Elvis Presley’s Bible to feature at auction, along with items from Taylor Swift, Amy Winehouse

Elvis Presley’s personal Holy Bible is one of many rare items from the King of Rock and Roll that are up for sale at the forthcoming “Hilton Estate & Elvis Presley Artifacts” auction.

The Bible is embossed with “Elvis Aaron Presley” in gold. Presley underlined passages in the Good Book, and it was on his nightstand in his bedroom at Graceland on the night he passed on August 16, 1977.

“This is something he truly treasured and treasured it so much that he slept next to it every night he was home,” said Brigitte Kruze, co-founder of Kruze GWS Auctions, which is organizing the online auction. “I could see this going anywhere from $50,000 to $250,000.”

A U.S. Army fatigue suit that Presley wore during his service in West Germany is also up for sale.

Additional Presley artifacts include sunglasses that the singer-songwriter wore during the filming of “Elvis on Tour,” numerous rings, and a polarized watch the King himself designed with a reappearing crucifix and a Star of David.

Kruze said she expected the watch to sell for around $20,000.

Dresses worn by singer-songwriters Taylor Swift and Amy Winehouse will also hit the auction block.

Live bidding starts Saturday, May 25, at 7 a.m. PDT (1400 GMT).
