EPFO distributes appointment letters to 976 new recruits at 15th Rozgar Mela

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, handed over appointment letters to 976 new recruits during the 15th edition of the Rozgar Mela held today across 47 locations nationwide on Saturday. The event was addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via videoconferencing, during which more than 51,000 appointment letters were distributed to newly inducted youth across various government departments, including EPFO.

As part of this major recruitment drive, EPFO issued appointment letters to 345 Accounts Officers/Enforcement Officers and 631 Social Security Assistants. These new recruits are expected to strengthen EPFO’s workforce and contribute towards ensuring the efficient delivery of social security services to millions of subscribers across India.

Highlighting its commitment to regular and transparent recruitment, EPFO has set up a dedicated Recruitment vertical at its Head Office and has developed a recruitment calendar in line with the directives of the Union Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya.

Over the past year, EPFO has recruited 159 Assistant Provident Fund Commissioners, 84 Junior Translation Officers, 28 Stenographers, and 2,674 Social Security Assistants, among others. Further recruitments for posts such as APFCs, EO/AOs, PAs, and ASOs are currently underway.

The Rozgar Mela reflects the Prime Minister’s focus on employment generation and youth empowerment. EPFO’s active participation in the event underscores its dedication to a merit-based and transparent recruitment process, leveraging modernized systems to enhance service delivery.

The newly inducted employees will also receive professional training through the iGOT Karmayogi platform, along with formal training sessions aimed at equipping them with the necessary skills to excel in their roles.
