Union Minister for Labour and Employment Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya on Monday inaugurated the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation’s first-ever modernised digital pavilion at the India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2025 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
Speaking at the inauguration, Dr. Mandaviya said that IITF has served as an important platform to showcase India’s development journey over the years, and EPFO’s debut marks a milestone in projecting a refreshed, modern identity of the organisation. He said EPFO continues to strengthen the country’s social security architecture with a vision that prioritises transparency, efficiency and large-scale service delivery for workers.
The Minister noted that EPFO has been a pillar of financial protection for crores of workers across India and that the organisation has significantly transitioned from manual systems to seamless digital service delivery. He said the digital transformation has ensured provident fund services reach every category of worker — including gig workers and those in rural areas — with equal speed and dignity.
Highlighting the developments in the past year, he said the upgraded unified portal, revamped website, simplified claims process, real-time grievance redressal, paperless onboarding and doorstep support for pensioners through Digital Life Certificates have collectively improved the citizen experience. He said the new pavilion reflects EPFO’s commitment to becoming “future-ready, member-centric and technology-driven,” demonstrating how digital public services can empower individuals and enterprises while enhancing trust in institutions.
Urging visitors and employers to explore the pavilion, Dr. Mandaviya said understanding the importance of social security is essential for the nation’s workforce, and added that EPFO is aligning its systems with the national vision of providing social security to all. MoS Shobha Karandlaje also congratulated EPFO and called for on-spot services and awareness support for visitors.
The pavilion features digital pension facilitation services, employer assistance areas, e-service demonstrations and awareness counters on schemes such as EPF, EPS, EDLI, PM-VBRY and the newly announced Employees Enrolment Scheme 2025. Experts are deployed at every desk to help visitors submit claims, generate UAN, file Joint Declarations and complete Digital Life Certificates directly at the venue.
A modern visitor experience has been incorporated with touchscreen kiosks that offer process-learning videos, interactive quizzes and access to key EPFO publications, while large digital screens display educational content throughout the day. Entertainment and engagement activities such as a kids play zone, Nukkad Natak performances, puppet shows, selfie booth, painting competition and social-media participation have been added to make the pavilion attractive across all age groups.
Minister of State for Labour and Employment Sushree Shobha Karandlaje, Central Provident Fund Commissioner Ramesh Krishnamurthi and senior officials from the Ministry and EPFO were present at the ceremony.
