Euro 2024: Germany Beat Scotland 5-1 In Opener In Munich

In Euro Cup 2024, Germany defeated Scotland in spectacular fashion by 5-1 in the inaugural match at Allianz Arena Football Stadium in Munich last night.

This was the biggest opening match victory in European Championship history.

Kai Havertz, Florian Wirtz and Jamal Musiala scored in the first half for the hosts. Later, Niclas Fullkrug and Emre Can added gloss to the score line in the second half.

Antonio Rudiger’s own goal in the 87th minute was nothing more than a consolation for Scotland fans.

Today, Hungary will take on Switzerland in Group A in Cologne while Spain will lock horns with Croatia in Group B in Berlin.

Total 24 countries are vying for glory in the European Football Championship, where teams are divided in six groups.
