The government on Wednesday launched the Bharat Tex 2026 Event App, aimed at enhancing AI-driven networking, business matchmaking and participant engagement at India’s flagship global textile event.
The digital platform was launched by Neelam Shami Rao and is designed to improve the experience of buyers, exhibitors, international delegates, sourcing consultants, speakers and visitors attending Bharat Tex 2026.
According to the Ministry of Textiles, the app has been developed as a comprehensive digital companion that enables participants to access event information, discover exhibitors, schedule meetings, navigate the venue, capture business leads and receive real-time updates through a single platform.
One of the key features of the app is its AI-powered smart assistant, which will provide 24×7 conversational support for attendees. Users will be able to ask event-related queries in simple language and receive instant responses related to schedules, venue details, directions and other event information.
The platform also includes dedicated networking and meeting modules to facilitate business engagement. Participants can discover relevant partners, schedule meetings, manage availability and track interactions through the app.
Additionally, a QR-based lead capture feature will allow exhibitors and visitors to scan digital badges and save contact details for future follow-ups.
Other features include exhibitor discovery tools with advanced search and filtering options, venue navigation support with floor plans and booth locations, and access to live agendas and knowledge sessions at the event.
Bharat Tex 2026 is being organised by the Bharat Tex Trade Federation in collaboration with 11 textile export promotion councils and industry bodies, with support from the Ministry of Textiles.
The event is based on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “5F Vision” — Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign — and aims to position India as a global textile sourcing and investment hub.
The government said Bharat Tex 2026 will be held in New Delhi from July 14 to 17 and is expected to attract over 7,000 international buyers and more than 1.3 lakh trade visitors, showcasing the country’s entire textile value chain.
