DoHE prepares for Special Campaign 6.0
The Department of Higher Education is now preparing to participate in Special Campaign 6.0, scheduled from October 2 to 31, 2026.
The campaign will focus on promoting Swachhata across offices, including autonomous organisations, while reducing pendency in government offices and centrally funded higher educational institutions.
It will also focus on improving cleanliness, record management, space utilisation and the overall workplace environment.
The campaign will be conducted in two phases. The preparatory phase will run from September 15 to 30, followed by the implementation phase from October 2 to 31.
During the preparatory phase, heads and faculty members of centrally funded institutions, along with officials from the UGC, AICTE and various bureaus of the Department of Higher Education, will set targets, identify pending references and outline areas requiring attention for cleanliness and space management.
Special emphasis will be placed on record management, disposal of outdated materials and beautification of offices.
E-waste management to receive special focus
Building on last year’s focus on scientific management of e-waste, Special Campaign 6.0 will emphasise effective collection, segregation and disposal of e-waste.
During the implementation phase, participating offices will focus on clearing pending matters, including public grievances, parliamentary assurances, inter-ministerial communications and VVIP references.
Offices will also be required to report their progress on a daily basis.
The campaign aims to promote sustainability and encourage greater public participation through social media under the hashtag #SpecialCampaign6.
