Allu Arjun hails WAVES 2025 as India’s creative launch pad

Actor Allu Arjun on Thursday lauded the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025 as a global platform for India to showcase its storytelling prowess and creative excellence.

The summit, organized by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Jio World Center in Mumbai on Thursday.

Speaking at an ‘In Conversation’ session titled Talent Beyond Borders, Arjun said, “India has always had the soul. Now, we have the stage. I believe WAVES will be a launching pad for India to lead the world in creative content.”

The Pushpa star also shared a deeply personal moment, recalling a life-altering accident that forced him into a six-month hiatus. “That pause was a blessing in disguise,” he said. “It made me shift my gaze inward — from stunts to substance. I realized, as the muscles fade, the mastery must rise. Acting became my new frontier.”

Arjun confirmed an upcoming collaboration with director Atlee, describing the project as “a visual spectacle rooted in Indian emotion.” He added: “We’re blending international technology with Desi soul — a film for India, and from India, to the world.”

Addressing the dynamic nature of the film industry, Arjun acknowledged the rising tide of new talent across languages. “There are extraordinary young actors emerging in every language. You must stay authentic, stay hungry, and be versatile. This is not just an industry — it’s a battlefield of creativity, resilience, and evolution.”

He also paid heartfelt tribute to his illustrious family, crediting his grandfather Allu Ramalingaiah, father and producer Allu Aravind, and uncle Chiranjeevi as the guiding forces behind his journey. “I’m not a self-made man,” he said. “I’ve grown with the guidance, support, and greatness of those around me. I’m blessed.”
