IGNOU opens applications for PhD programmes

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has officially commenced the admission process for its PhD programs. Interested candidates can now register through the website ignouadm.samarth.edu.in.

To be eligible for admission, candidates must have a valid UGC NET with JRF or a valid UGC NET score from the year 2024, in accordance with the University Grants Commission (UGC) Regulations on Minimum Standards and Procedures for Award of PhD Degrees, 2022. 

The application fee for submitting an online application is set at Rs 1,000.

IGNOU has reserved five percent of the total seats for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) who have a disability of not less than 40 percent. 

Notably, the reserved seats will not be adjusted against the appropriate categories (General, SC, ST, OBC, EWS) to which the candidates belong.
