IMD forecasts heatwave conditions across southern India

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heatwave conditions across various regions in southern India for the next four days.

According to the IMD, heatwave conditions are very likely to occur in isolated areas of Rayalaseema, Telangana, and North and South Interior Karnataka. Coastal areas of Gujarat, Rayalaseema, Andhra Pradesh, and Yanam, as well as Kerala and Mahe, are also expected to experience hot and humid weather during this period. Additionally, certain pockets across north interior Karnataka might witness hot weather conditions.

The weather agency has advised residents in these regions to take necessary precautions such as staying hydrated and avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun, to minimize the impact of the hot weather.
