Inauguration of BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi

Opening its doors to the public on March 1, 2024, the temple signifies a significant shift in the cultural landscape of the area. Its inauguration ceremony, held as part of the 'Festival of Harmony,' underscores its role in promoting interfaith understanding, cultural diversity, and community cohesion.

The temple's inauguration, graced by the esteemed presence of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 14, 2024, symbolizes the strong bond between India and the UAE. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, exemplified this bond by generously donating 27 acres of land for the temple's construction. This act reflects the spirit of unity and cooperation between nations.

The 'Festival of Harmony' featured a diverse range of cultural and spiritual events, inviting individuals from all walks of life to partake in the celebrations. From traditional rituals to performances showcasing the rich heritage of Hindu culture, the festival fostered an atmosphere of inclusivity and shared appreciation.

Now open to visitors, the BAPS Hindu Temple offers a sanctuary for spiritual reflection and cultural immersion. Its intricate architecture and serene ambiance provide a conducive environment for prayer and meditation. The temple welcomes visitors daily from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with the exception of Mondays for maintenance.

Whether one seeks moments of inner peace, cultural enlightenment, or simply wishes to marvel at the beauty of devotion, the BAPS Hindu Temple extends a warm invitation to all. As a symbol of religious tolerance and cooperation, it stands as a testament to the power of unity in diversity. As visitors step through its doors, they are greeted with open arms and the promise of a profound and enriching experience.
