India Nepal Folk Craft Festival reflects the diverse culture of India and its Himalayan neighbour Nepal

India Nepal Folk Craft Festival was organised in Kathmandu Valley with exhibits from various parts of India and Nepal showcasing the vibrant culture of both countries. The festival was inaugurated by  Upendra Yadav, Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal on March 28.

On the last day of the festival today, visitors relished local Newari cuisine and Banarasi paan from India. The stalls were held by traders from India selling their handicrafts items. Nepali jewellery, corn leaf home decor, food items, Nepali traditional clothes and hemp accessories were on sale from traders of Nepal.

Banarasi brocade sarees from Varanasi, leather sandals and shoes from Udaipur, traditional caps and waistcoats from Himachal Pradesh, lugda craft from Rajasthan, embroidered beddings from Gujarat, and stone sculpture from Odisha showed the diverse culture of India.
