India offers Global Leadership alongside Business and Investment opportunities: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla emphasised that India not only offers vast business and investment opportunities to the world but also provides leadership and solutions in various sectors of the economy and global affairs. Addressing a delegation of over 100 CEOs, owners, and founders from 16 countries at the Parliament House complex today, Birla highlighted India’s rising stature on the global stage, driven by political stability, good governance, and the vision of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (the world is one family).

In an engaging interaction with the Harvard Business School Alumni Group, Birla underlined that India’s Constitution and parliamentary democracy are the cornerstones of peace, growth, and development in the world’s largest democracy. He emphasised how India’s democratic principles have played a vital role in shaping the nation’s trajectory, fostering an environment conducive to prosperity.

The international delegation showed keen interest in India’s economic progress and its growing influence globally. They sought insights into the policies that have propelled India’s growth and its evolving role in the international community. Birla responded by highlighting the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and India’s commitment to holistic development with the larger goal of achieving a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India).

Birla encouraged the delegation to invest in India, assuring them of full support from all stakeholders. He emphasized that parliamentary democracy is the best form of governance, providing effective solutions to various issues, and stressed the importance of making citizens active stakeholders in governance to achieve “Good Governance.”
