India on Monday expressed deep concern over the renewed attacks in West Asia, calling for an immediate de-escalation of tensions and urging all parties to pursue a diplomatic resolution to restore peace and stability in the region.
In an official statement, India said the latest developments were a matter of serious concern for the international community. The government noted that the conflict has continued for more than 100 days, resulting in extensive human suffering and adversely affecting the global economy and energy supplies.
“We call on all parties to immediately de-escalate tensions, ensure that civilians are not harmed and conclude ongoing negotiations for a diplomatic solution so that peace and stability can return to the region,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, the Embassy of India in Tehran issued a fresh advisory for Indian nationals in Iran in view of the evolving security situation in the region.
The embassy reiterated its earlier advice urging all Indian nationals to avoid travel to Iran until further notice. It also advised Indian citizens currently residing in Iran to leave the country through available means of transport.
The advisory comes amid heightened uncertainty and security concerns in the region following the recent escalation of hostilities. Indian authorities are closely monitoring the situation and have urged citizens to remain vigilant and follow official advisories.
