India’s Paper Industry Makes a Mark at Middle East’s Premier Expo

The 12th edition of Paper Arabia 2024, the Middle East’s oldest and most prestigious B2B expo, began today in Dubai focusing on sustainability and reducing the industry’s carbon footprint. With ten participating companies, India is making a significant contribution to the event.

The expo, which runs from September 3rd to 5th at the Dubai World Trade Centre, provides a platform for Indian manufacturers to showcase their latest products and technologies to a global audience. As the world grapples with climate change, sustainability has become a top priority for industries across the globe. Paper Arabia 2024 is no exception.

The expo will feature discussions on waste management, recycling solutions, and other strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. One of the highlights of the expo is that for the first time, it will have exhibitors representing the non-woven sector. The show also incorporates niche segments such as Corrugated and Folding Cartons.

The industry’s sustainability focus also comes in the context of stringent policy measures by governments, like the ban of single-use plastics in the UAE and elsewhere, that has changed the packaging landscape across consumer facing business verticals like food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics etc.

The Middle East and Africa paper market is expected to reach USD 28 billion in the next five years. This growth presents significant opportunities for Indian companies to expand their market reach. Key highlights of Paper Arabia 2024 include a focus on sustainability, global reach, and the Second Middle East Paper & Tissue Forum.

As the paper industry continues to evolve, sustainability will play an increasingly important role. Paper Arabia 2024 offers a valuable platform for industry professionals to connect, collaborate, and drive innovation.
