INS Kulish arrives at Cambodia’s Ream Naval Base as part of Eastern Fleet deployment

Indian Navy’s guided missile corvette INS Kulish arrived at Ream Naval Base in Cambodia on September 12 as part of the Eastern Fleet’s operational deployment, with the visit aimed at strengthening maritime cooperation between India and Cambodia.

The port call is intended to enhance professional linkages and operational synergy between the Indian Navy and the Royal Cambodian Navy.

On arrival, INS Kulish was received by representatives of the Royal Cambodian Navy and officials from the Embassy of India in Cambodia.

During its stay, the ship’s crew will participate in a series of professional interactions, familiarisation visits, sports fixtures and structured naval engagements.

The activities are aimed at facilitating the exchange of domain knowledge and strengthening cooperation between naval personnel of the two countries.

The visit is part of India’s continuing maritime outreach across the Indo-Pacific and is in line with the Act East Policy and the vision of MAHASAGAR (Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions).

The deployment also reflects India’s commitment to promoting a free, open and inclusive maritime environment in the Indo-Pacific.

The Indian Navy’s engagement with regional maritime partners is aimed at strengthening mutual understanding, enhancing interoperability and contributing to maritime security and stability across the region.
