Iran’s IRGC claims 78th wave of strikes on Israeli and US targets

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps says it carried out its 78th wave of retaliatory strikes against Israeli and American targets in the early hours of Tuesday, March 24, as part of Operation True Promise 4. The IRGC said the latest strikes hit Israeli sites in Eilat, Dimona, and northern Tel Aviv, as well as a number of US military bases in the region, using Emad and Qadr ballistic missiles and combat drones. The corps said the operation was dedicated to the people of Iran’s eastern provinces.

Separately, a spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters has denied reports that Tehran plans to lay mines in the Persian Gulf. The spokesperson said Iran remains in full control of the Strait of Hormuz and nearby waters, and has no need to deploy mines. He added that Iran has sufficient capability to ensure security and would use all available means if required.

Iranian media also reported that energy infrastructure in Isfahan and Khorramshahr was struck in what Tehran described as continued US and Israeli aggression. In Isfahan, a gas administration building and a pressure reduction station on Kaveh Street were hit, damaging parts of the facilities and nearby homes. In Khorramshahr in southwest Iran, a projectile struck an area near a natural gas pipeline linked to a power plant. Local officials said there were no casualties and that essential services, including electricity supply, remained unaffected.
