Israeli delegation to attend India AI Impact Summit 2026, focus on AI, climate and digital cooperation

A high-level Israeli delegation will participate in the India AI Impact Summit 2026, scheduled to begin in New Delhi on February 16, the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi said.

The delegation will be led by Ilan Fluss, former Ambassador and EDTs Policy Coordinator at Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and will include senior government officials, technology leaders, researchers and policy experts. The visit is aimed at strengthening India-Israel cooperation in artificial intelligence, climate resilience, ESG investment, digital governance and responsible innovation, the Israeli Embassy said.

In a statement, Fluss said the partnership between the two countries reflects a shared responsibility to ensure that technological advancement is guided by ethical principles. “At a time when artificial intelligence is reshaping the global order, India and Israel have a joint responsibility to lead with innovation guided by ethics. Our partnership demonstrates how advanced technology and human values can progress together,” he said, adding that the delegation’s participation marks a new phase in bilateral engagement centred on AI and deep tech collaboration.

During the summit, Israeli delegates are expected to take part in high-level panel discussions and bilateral meetings focusing on AI applications in climate adaptation, precision agriculture, digital public infrastructure, workforce transformation and the governance of emerging technologies. Conversations will also explore ESG models, impact investment and public-private partnerships aimed at promoting inclusive growth.

Maya Sherman, Innovation Attaché at the Embassy of Israel, said the two countries share a people-centric approach to technological development. “Our cooperation in AI, climate innovation and digital transformation is focused on real-world challenges — from resilient agriculture and future-ready skills to responsible AI applications,” she said.

In the run-up to the summit, the Embassy organised side events to facilitate engagement between Israeli and Indian stakeholders across academia, industry and government. During the main events at Bharat Mandapam, it will collaborate with institutions including IIT Ropar, Dhirubhai Ambani University and policy think tank The Dialogue to deepen cooperation in AI and emerging technologies.

The Embassy said the initiative reflects the expanding strategic partnership between India and Israel, with a focus on innovation-driven growth and responsible technology development.
