Kaski Court of Nepal permits detention of Lamichhane for seven more days

The Kaski District Court has allowed Rabi Lamichhane, the president of the Rastriya Swatantra Party and former Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal, to be detained for another seven days for investigation. He was arrested on charges of misappropriation of cooperative savings.

Suraj Adhikari, Information Officer of the Kaski District Court, informed that the bench of Judge Chandrakant Paudel has permitted the police to keep President Lamichhane in custody for an additional seven days to facilitate the investigation.

Lamichhane was arrested on October 18 for this investigation. Similarly, former Deputy Inspector General Chabilal Joshi, who was arrested in the same case, has also been detained for another seven days.
