Kathak recital in Kathmandu as part of celebrations of India’s 78th Independence Day

Embassy of India hosted a Kathak Dance recital by Arpita Dutta & her troupe from India, as part of the celebrations of India’s 78th Independence Day. The event was graced by Minister for Culture, Tourism & Civil Aviation of Nepal, Badri Prasad Pandey as the Chief Guest. 

The audience included distinguished members of the Government of Nepal, the Nepali Army, diplomatic community, cultural fraternity, media and civil society.

The recital mesmerized the audience. The dance troupe will continue their Nepal tour with performances scheduled in Birgunj, Hetauda, Biratnagar, and Pokhara over the coming days.
