According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology of Nepal, at present, the weather is partly to fully cloudy in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and partly cloudy in the rest of Nepal. Light to moderate rain along with thunder and lightning is also taking place at some places in Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, according to the Department.

There is a possibility of heavy rainfall along with heavy wind at some places in Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces. There is a chance of very heavy rain at one or two places in Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces along with the storm tonight.

The Bhimdatta Highway and Dr K I Singh Highway were blocked by landslides that took place due to incessant rain in different places in the district. The landslides have also blocked several road networks connecting the rural areas in the districts of the Sudurpaschim Province. The vehicles have remained off the road as the Bhimdatta Highway that links the seven hilly districts to the southern plains in Sudurpaschim Province was obstructed.

Likewise, vehicular movement is blocked along the Dr K I Singh Highway that connects Dadeldhura and Doti districts. The obstruction of the roadways left dozens of vehicles carrying essential goods in the districts stranded. Likewise, the power supply has also been disrupted in Dadeldhura following the rain coupled with a heavy storm since last night in the district.
