The Election Commission of India has issued the notification for the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, with 94 parliamentary constituencies across 12 states and union territories going into polls.
Voting is slated to take place on May 7.
Candidates aspiring to contest in this phase have until April 19 to file their nomination papers. The nomination process kicks off today, April 12, and candidates can submit their nominations between 11 AM to 3 PM daily until the deadline.
The third phase encompasses a diverse range of regions, including Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Goa, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal. Notably, Madhya Pradesh’s Betul parliamentary constituency voters will also participate in the election on May 7, 2024.
