Lucknow sweet shop enters India Book of Records for largest Gujiya ahead of Holi

Chhappan Bhog, a renowned sweet shop in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, made history by entering the India Book of Records for crafting the world’s largest Gujiya, weighing 6 kg and measuring 25 inches. The massive delicacy, named ‘Baahubali Gujiya,’ was unveiled ahead of Holi at an event hosted at Phoenix Palassio Mall.

Pramil Dwivedi, the official Executor of the India Book of Records, confirmed Chhappan Bhog’s entry, stating, “This Gujiya weighs 6 kilograms and is 25 inches long, breaking previous records. Our research revealed no one had made such a large Gujiya before.”

Kshitij Gupta, Marketing Head of Chhappan Bhog, shared the inspiration behind this creation, highlighting Gujiya as a symbol of India’s rich cultural diversity. He said, “Gujiya represents Vasudev Kutumbakam, the idea that the world is one family. The Baahubali Gujiya reflects our culture by incorporating the colors of various festivals, including Holi, Ramzan, and India’s recent cricket victory.”

The Baahubali Gujiya, priced between Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000, is made with premium ingredients such as saffron, almonds, khoya, raisins, and other fruits, symbolizing India’s culinary heritage.

This remarkable creation by Chhappan Bhog showcases exceptional craftsmanship and culinary expertise, setting a new standard for festive treats.
