Middle East Energy Exhibition showcases India’s strong presence amid global tech innovations

The 49th edition of Middle East Energy, supported by the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, continued for a third day at Dubai World Trade Centre with significant international participation, including a notable presence from India. The Indian pavilion, coordinated by the Engineering Export Promotion Council of India, featured 45 companies among the 240 Indian exhibitors showcasing the latest advancements in energy technology.

Energy leaders from around the world gathered to discuss the transformative impact of artificial intelligence, long-term planning, and advanced battery pack technology on the energy sector at national, regional, and international levels. The three-day event, running from April 7-9, has established itself as the region’s leading energy summit, bringing together more than 150 energy leaders and experts exploring innovations and global market dynamics.

The exhibition showcases cutting-edge technologies across the entire energy value chain, including renewable energy, smart grids, energy storage solutions, and clean mobility options.A major addition to this year’s event is the launch of The Battery Show Middle East, reflecting the region’s growing interest in eMobility and advanced energy storage solutions. This aligns with regional initiatives such as the UAE’s Energy Strategy 2050 and Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, both aiming to diversify energy sources and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.

The conference has placed strong emphasis on decarbonization strategies, with technologies like carbon capture and hydrogen production playing central roles in discussions. Industry projections suggest renewable energy will account for 14% of the region’s power generation by 2035, with solar photovoltaics leading this transition.

As the exhibition enters its final day, organizers continue to foster collaboration among global stakeholders to accelerate renewable energy adoption while addressing key challenges in energy storage and electric vehicle infrastructure development. The strong Indian representation underscores the country’s growing influence in the global energy technology sector and its commitment to participating in the worldwide energy transition.
