Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs holds yoga workshop ahead of International Yoga Day

The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs on Thursday organised a yoga workshop at the Parliament House Annexe in New Delhi as part of preparations for International Yoga Day 2026.

The session was conducted by Dr Ramesh Kumar, Professor in the Department of Yoga Science at Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University, who led ministry officials and staff through yoga and pranayama exercises.

Dr Kumar highlighted the benefits of incorporating yoga into daily routines, particularly in workplace settings, saying it can help reduce stress and improve productivity.

The workshop was inaugurated by Additional Secretary Dr Satya Prakash, who briefed participants on activities planned by the government to mark International Yoga Day.

Senior ministry officials, including Deputy Secretaries Mukesh Kumar and S.S. Patra, along with other officers and staff members, participated in the event.
