Javelin throw star Neeraj Chopra narrowly missed out on reclaiming the Diamond League Trophy on Saturday, finishing just one centimetre behind the champion.
Chopra’s best throw of 87.86 metres came in his third attempt, falling short of Grenada’s Anderson Peters, who secured the title with an 87.87-metre throw on his first try.
Julian Weber of Germany finished third with his best throw of 85.97 metres. Chopra, who had won the Diamond Trophy two years ago, gave a valiant performance but was unable to reclaim the top spot in this closely contested event.
