Minister for Forest and Environment, Ain Bahadur Shahi Thakuri, has left for Brazil, leading a Nepali delegation to participate in the International Conference to be held in Rio de Janeiro city of Brazil on September 12 and 13. This year’s theme focuses on Solutions for a more equitable and sustainable society.
The event is jointly organised by the Brazilian government and UN Environment Programme (UNEP). Minister Shahi will address the conference themed ‘Reducing Inequalities and Achieving Just Transitions for All through Sustainable Consumption and Production, including Circular Economy’ on September 13.
This two-day event promises to be an immersive experience on concrete solutions for reducing inequalities and fostering just transitions for all through sustainable consumption and production, with a spotlight on the transformative power of the circular economy.
