NIA arrests key aide of Khalistani terrorist Landa in major terror network case

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has apprehended Baljeet Singh, a crucial associate of designated Khalistani terrorist Lakhbir Singh Sandhu, also known as Landa. The arrest, made on Thursday in Punjab, comes as part of an ongoing investigation into a extensive terror network involving the supply of deadly weapons.

Baljeet Singh, alias Rana Bhai or Balli, hails from Badwani district in Madhya Pradesh. According to NIA officials, he played a pivotal role as a major weapons supplier to Landa’s agents in Punjab. These weapons were reportedly used in large-scale terror activities, including extortion from businessmen and other targets.

The case, registered by the NIA on July 10 last year, has already led to the arrest of Gurpreet Singh Gopi, another associate linked to both Landa and Khalistani terrorist Satnam Singh Satta. The agency’s investigation revealed that Baljeet Singh had also supplied weapons to Satta, as part of a broader conspiracy by various banned Khalistani terrorist organizations to destabilize India through violent acts in Punjab and other regions.

“Both Landa and Satta are believed to be operating from foreign soil to promote terror in India,” said the NIA, adding it is continuing with its investigation as part of its crackdown on the Khalistani terrorist outfits.
