Snehamayi Krishna, the petitioner in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) case involving Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, has alleged attempts to bribe him into withdrawing his petition seeking a CBI probe. The Karnataka High Court is scheduled to hear the petition on December 19.

Krishna filed a complaint with the Karnataka Lokayukta, presenting CCTV footage of Harsha, who claimed to be the personal assistant of Siddaramaiah’s wife, Parvathi. According to Krishna, Harsha approached him through a mediator, Srinidhi, pleading for cooperation in the MUDA case and citing Parvathi’s mental distress. When Krishna refused, Harsha allegedly tried to lure his son with promises of “any amount of money” and even showed a video of a bag full of cash.

Krishna also claimed that Harsha admitted the situation arose due to blind trust in co-accused Devaraju and Mallikarjuna Swamy, Siddaramaiah’s brother-in-law. Harsha reportedly suggested the investigation be conducted by the Lokayukta instead of the CBI. Despite persistent efforts, Krishna maintained his stand, advising Harsha to resolve the matter legally.

Following these incidents, Krishna alleged that Chamundeshwari Temple Authority Secretary M.J. Roopa filed a false case against him, forcing him to seek legal assistance in Bengaluru. He further accused Harsha and Srinidhi of repeatedly pressuring his family, even claiming activist Gangaraju had been paid Rs 3 crore to withdraw his petition.

Krishna has demanded the seizure of Harsha’s mobile phones and an inquiry into Parvathi’s involvement, stating that the accused fear being exposed if the case is handed over to the CBI. The MUDA case, involving allegations of illegal allotment of 14 sites to Siddaramaiah’s family, is currently under investigation by the Karnataka Lokayukta and the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
